Our Team

Dr. Ting is the Medical Director for the DMC site serving the Markham, North Toronto and Scarborough regions. He practices as a Nephrologist at Scarborough Health Network (SHN) and since 1993 has — alongside his colleagues — provided outstanding care to our patients at DMC. Dr. Ting is a versatile writer and researcher in Nephrology, brings leadership experience in roles such as the Medical Staff Association President for the SHN, and is a strong advocate for compassionate and empathetic patient care.

Dr. Barrese is the Medical Director and Quality Advisor for the DMC site serving Pickering and Ajax. She practices as a Nephrologist at Lakeridge Health and since 1995 has — alongside her colleagues — provided exceptional care for our patients at DMC. Dr. Barrese is a champion of the Kidney Foundation and a dedicated and caring clinician that provides leadership in goals of care and advanced care planning as the Ontario Renal Network’s Palliative Care Nephrologist Lead for the Lakeridge Health Nephrology Program.

Dr. Beaubien is the Medical Director and Quality Advisor for the DMC site serving Peterborough and Kawartha. He practices as a Nephrologist at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre and since 1995 has — alongside his colleagues — provided special care for our patients at DMC. Dr. Beaubien is a knowledgeable and attentive clinician that provides leadership as the Regional Medical Lead for Ontario Renal Network’s Central East Local Health Integrated Care Network and expertise as a member of the provincial task force that developed the clinical practice and facility guidelines for independent hemodialysis facilities in Ontario.

Dr. Kim advises DMC in her role as a Committee Advisor. She has been practicing as a Nephrologist at Mackenzie Health since 2017 and alongside her colleagues at the hospital has provided exceptional care for our patients at DMC. Dr. Kim has completed a fellowship in onconephrology at University of Toronto. She has a special interest in providing chronic kidney disease care to patients with cancer. She is also the Ontario Renal Network’s Glomerulonephritis Clinic Lead for the Mackenzie Health Chronic Kidney Disease Program

Dr. Zhang advises DMC in his role as a Committee Advisor. He has been practicing as a Nephrologist at Scarborough Health Network (SHN) since January 2022 and alongside his colleagues at the hospital has provided exceptional care for our patients at DMC. Dr. Zhang rounds on SHN patients at DMC sites. In his time he has consistently shown his commitment to being a caring and empathetic clinician that puts patient care at the center of his practice.
